Ryan is a Principal Human Factors Engineer based in Minnesota with more than a decade of experience applying user-centered design processes and principles to the development of systems and tools for both expert and lay users. His work blends curiosity, practical rigor, and a commitment to creating products that truly support the people who rely on them.

User Testing Early and Often
With extensive experience conducting and moderating usability studies on medical devices of varying scale at all phases of product development, Ryan believes one of the most rewarding aspects of his work is seeing early insights evolve into solutions that genuinely resonate with and delight users.
Risk Management
Ryan is well practiced at articulating and documenting use-related risk, working closely alongside other risk management specialists to implement effective mitigations and minimize potential impact on end users.
Design with Purpose
A lifelong fascination with computers, software, and consumer electronics has equipped Ryan with a strong foundation of design principles that enable him to craft thoughtful, effective solutions for applications ranging from simple interfaces to complex systems.
Education
Ryan holds a master’s degree in Human Factors and Applied Cognition from George Mason University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University.
