Ben Bontreger

Ben is a Human Factors Engineer for GRD with experience conducting user-centered research across consumer technology and healthcare industries. He enjoys engaging with users, identifying opportunities to improve product usability and safety in meaningful ways. His proficiency across mixed methods, as well as experience in UX Design, lends itself to insights across the product lifecycle.

Ben values a collaborative and cross-functional approach, having worked with teams both in-house and as a consultant. He brings respect for team culture and an understanding of competing priorities, with a focus on connecting the dots to provide strategic clarity.

Education
Ben has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite University and a Master’s Degree in Human Factors from the University of Minnesota. Drawing on his education and past experience in mental health, he leads with empathy and applies systems thinking.
