 Instructional Products We believe that a key part of supporting users is to provide them with excellent instruction. For SAMSUNG, we wrote and designed manuals for their DIRECTV and HDTV set-top boxes. These documents guide users through all phases of their interaction with the products — from learning about the technology, to setting up hardware, to using the software efficiently, to troubleshooting problems.  Iterative Design and Review Process During all phases of the project, we actively solicit input from our clients. We use an iterative design and review process to encourage our clients to be involved in the creation of their instructional materials. Client review cycles allow us to ensure that our instruction is not only elegant and usable, but complete and accurate as well. For the SAMSUNG project, we incorporated review comments from SAMSUNG's engineering, testing, marketing, and legal teams, as well as from representatives of their client, DIRECTV, to ensure that every detail was correct.  Instructional Design Approach We bring writing skill, design expertise, and our background in user advocacy to every project. This, combined with our extensive experience in both the computer and consumer electronics industries, provides us with unique ability to produce highly effective, usable, and attractive documentation. The end result, from a user’s point-of-view, is a better experience with the product. |
